Souffles: an artist’s advocacy for a humanist project in Morocco, Thursday 30 May, 7pm FREE
Souffles was one of the most influential cultural and political journals to emerge in postcolonial North Africa. Designed by Mohamed Melehi, and edited by Abdellatif Laâbi, it featured some of the most important artists and writers of Morocco and beyond. Cultural journalist Kenza Sefrioui traces its history from its inception in 1966 to when it was banned in 1972.
